The acetone vapor (remember that vapor causes burns - not liquid) is heavier than air, can travel a considerable distance and can also accumulate in a confined space. Unfortunately, two workers cleaning a paint booth were not aware of the proper precautions to take when dealing with this highly flammable liquid, and were severely injured.
